Mark Cowan, Kauai, Hawaii & Southern California Painting Contractor A native New Zealander, Mark Cowan came to the United States in 1983 where he worked as a craftsman painter. In 1989 he became a licensed painting contractor and started his own painting company, Pacific Painting, which grew to 25 full-time painters serving the southern California area. Pacific Painting provided professional and reliable painting services for large commercial projects, hotels and privately owned custom homes.
In 1999 an opportunity to work with Carrie on a project at Mission Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House at the CHOC Hospital of Orange County presented itself. It was on this project that they realized their talents were a perfect compliment to the others' and Applied Artistry, a painting company was born.
In 2006 Mark completed a very unique and exclusive six-day class called Intricacies offering "top secret" faux painting techniques conceived, designed and taught soley by Kelly S. King, President and Founder of the The Faux Finish Institute. Intricacies was not open to the public as only individuals who pass a rigorous screening process and can prove experience and expertise in the field are invited to attend. Mark now has the latest techniques to add to the Applied Artistry faux finish portfolio and is excited to share the wide range of faux finish possibilities with Applied Artistry's clients. |
